On February 17th, our team had the pleasure of attending the Miller County NAACP Monthly Meeting at New Wake Faith Church. Our team was particularly drawn to the mission of bridging the gap between our youth and elders, and this meeting certainly gave us hope.

The turnout for the meeting was impressive and highlighted the collective enthusiasm for positive change within our community. The diversity of experiences and backgrounds present in the room created an atmosphere rich with wisdom and encouragement. It was evident that the Miller County NAACP is actively working on initiatives that will not only enhance awareness of the organization but also address critical issues affecting our community.

A special recognition is due to Kadesha Williams, the newly appointed president. As the youngest president to ever have the title in the state of Arkansas, Kadesha brings a fresh perspective and an undeniable passion for community service. Her leadership is a testament to the potential of our younger generation, and her commitment to attempting to make a difference is truly commendable.

We encourage anyone looking to make a meaningful impact to engage with the Miller County NAACP. Their commitment to accountability, empowerment, and kindness is vital for the growth of Texarkana. Together, we can foster a community that thrives on collaboration and respect.

We left the meeting feeling optimistic about the future and motivated to contribute to the efforts in our community. Let’s continue to uplift one another and work towards a brighter, more inclusive Texarkana.
